Claire asked:

1) Obvious things like Israel-Palestine, China-Taiwan, Sudan, I can’t do b/c people already have them.
I was thinking something like Sri Lankan civil war, censorship in China and how it compares to the rest of the world, or maybe the way secular governments allow/disallow religious ‘violations’ of law (what’s that called?). But I’m not that up to date on the news so I can’t come up with many ideas.

Joe asked:

I know that China is Communist but is doesn’t seem that way at all. They are leaning more towards the west and Capitalism. I mean they even have McDonalds there…

They are also known as the Peoples Republic of China. But a Republic is a government thats rules with law. (A democracy is by the people, oligarchy — ruled by few, etc…etc…) But communism is different than a republic, so why do they call themselves a republic?

So, to slim this question down to the basics:

Why is China considered communist?
Why do they call themselves a republic?
What is China’s actual government?

Also, correct me if I was wrong in anything I said. I believe I have a good understanding on how to differentiate between types of government but I could always wrong.

reggiemiller98 asked:

Yahoo gave the Chinese government list of Chinese citizens who searched for subject not approved by the government. The Chinese government used this information to imprison and in some cases executed people for not following Chinese Law. In doing so Yahoo participated in helping the Chinese Government cause human suffering.

China meant to poison their own pet food supply, but accidentally poisoned ours?

They will not report it, but I believe the rabbit hole is deeper than told!

Did you see that in China anyone with large dogs had to get rid of them or they would be collected and killed. It is due to a rabies scare. Only small dogs were aloud to be kept. I don’t think everyone was following the law and they were hiding their pets. I think this poison pet food was their next step to insure reduced pet populations. With their one child policy and discarding of young female fetus’s, would you really count it out?

I think this had something to do with that. Only they didn’t expect it to effect America pet food supplies. I think they meant for those foods to be distributed exclusively in China but someone messed up and put it into the U.S. supplies.

It is just to coincidental. A month ago the Chinese are patrolling the streets for loose pets and forcing people to turn in their neighbors if they saw large dogs. Now all of a sudden there is a link to poisoned pet food.

Possible?

TheMadLith asked:

Ever hear of Three Gorges Damn? The biggest crime any country ever committed against itself? Did you know that close to 20,000 CHINESE DIE IN MINING ACCIDENTS EACH YEAR?
Do you know what conditions most Chinese actually live in? You do know that there military tech is 20 years behind us, right? You do know that they have no workers rights, that the Chinese government sacrifices it’s own people for progress? And how long do you think the boom will last? Will it defy all laws of economics and boom forever?
