TheMadLith asked:

Ever hear of Three Gorges Damn? The biggest crime any country ever committed against itself? Did you know that close to 20,000 CHINESE DIE IN MINING ACCIDENTS EACH YEAR?
Do you know what conditions most Chinese actually live in? You do know that there military tech is 20 years behind us, right? You do know that they have no workers rights, that the Chinese government sacrifices it’s own people for progress? And how long do you think the boom will last? Will it defy all laws of economics and boom forever?

  1. Thank you!! Finally someone with some sense!

The Soviet Union had record growth (war years excepted) from the 30’s to the 70’s, and look what happened to them. The “market,” if you could call it that, fell apart.

China will do one of two things….implode, or complete the transition to democracy.

  2. China is a terrible place. A bad government that can careless about their people. The communist gov’t is no better than the communist of the USSR.

The USA needs to reexamine our trade deals with this communist nation.

  5. well, the thing is… that’s it’s biggest resource.. people…

they probably aren’t going to run out anytime soon…

and businesses in the U.S. could care less… all they see is a huge potential market… cha-ching!

capitalism only knows the morals of making more money… it will turn on democracy as soon as someone else offers a better price…

but that being said, growth over the past 10 years has been astounding… especially after we relaxed trade restrictions…

in reality, they are no better than Saddam, as far as how they treat their people though… they are just better at keeping secrets, and businesses own the media in the U.S., and bad press could jeopardize future profits..
