I have a question I need answered asap, please.
If a woman from China marries a foreigner, is it true that she isn’t able to get medical operations paid for by the governemt? If the woman is still living in China? Is it the responsibility of the husband or will the government still pay for the operation?
Can I connect to my desk top pc with internet and load English software?
Most times it is very difficult to get the right informatipon from a right sorce ot the right person due to language problem. More than 90% of foreigners in China who can speak the language cannot read so in most cases communication ecomes very difficult for those of us who are even married.
She is really nice, very helpful and takes daytime care of our three children. She speaks no english and is putting up with her caucasian son-in-law very well. I would like to express my appreciation for her help and participation in the well being of my family.
I was hoping for something which would be a momento not so much for the value as for the meaning. Some form of traditional or cultural object that is appreciated for the gesture.
My sister-in-law is from Taiwan, but lives in America. She recently became pregnant, and I know her well enough to be sure that she would appreciate a traditional Chinese acknowledgment of some kind. While I can find lots of Chinese traditions about baby gifts for children, I can’t find anything about the mother except how she should behave during the pregnancy. What, if anything, would be a good gift for her before the baby is born?
Although they are technically full parts of China, I’m told that they are run entirely separately, and more or less treated as separate entities from China. Is it true their government has complete self-rule, they deal with their foreign relations separately, their immigration laws are separate, their economy is entirely separate and run separately? Apprently, the citizenship is different. I’m told a citizen of Hong Kong is treated as a foreigner by mainland Chinese law?
Isn’t kind of dumb for China to think it still owns Taiwan? It has been over 50 years since Taiwan has had its own government. Under international law, it take just 50 years for a country to form. China also used the same law as proof of ownership of Tibet.

Here in Michigan we have a guy running for govenor who invested $200,000,000 building a factory in China. He said the factory only produces goods for China and that Chinese law requires you to produce the things in China that you sell there. So tell me dear neocons, why is it that the Bush administration pushes their “free trade” bs as being necessary to a vibrant economy here and stupid people believe it?
Leogirl, just where did I say Bush was responsible for the Chinese economy? All I pointed out was what they do and the fact that they have a extremely fast growing economy.

Should the major Western countries introduce laws as in China to limit the number of children a couple can have?
I am not asking just because a country may be running out of space, but that we may run out of resources.
