Shell asked:

My future mother in law says that I should put China on my registry. Well I read in a magazine that alot of people now a days are not using china, they are just getting nice white dishes and everything and dressing it up with flowers. China would be nice, I would rather get other things besides that. What do you think?

Maria asked:

I got in an argument with my mother-in-law because she didn’t want a friend of ours going to China because, “Remember, they still drown babies in China.” I laughed and said it was ridiculous. What’s the deal?

Narsh asked:

My mother in law is from China and she’s been staying with us for 4 months now helping to care for my son who’s 11 months now. She wants to stay on a little longer just to make sure we can get along without her but her visa ends in 2 months. I went through the extension process myself in China but I don’ know the equivalent of the exit and entry administration here and googleing didn’t go so well. Who has control over her visa if she came in at NY and she’s been living in NJ? Thanks for the help.

Elizabeth G asked:

I’m hoping to buy some replacement pieces for my mother-in-law as a Xmas gift, and though I’ve eaten on her dinnerware many times (including this past Thanksgiving) I neglected to check the back for the name of the pattern. So, here’s what it looks like: Plates are CREAM colored and rather heavy and thick. They have PINK flowers in the center (not just on the rims). These flowers have a “brushy” painted look & have few petals (more like a dogwood flower, not at all like a rose or peony). The plates are rather deep and bowl-like, as opposed to being shallow. Knowing my mother-in-law, these are probably NOT an expensive set…probably something she bought in the 1960’s and likely discontinued. Well, does it sound like anything you’ve seen? Thanks for any and all help!!!!!

booder0715 asked:

My parents are paying for our meal at mine and my fiance`s wedding. I want a buffet, because I see no point in spending so much extra for family style. I don’t care if we eat on plastic or china, but they really wanted china…so fine. I truly don’t care. But now they want family style, which is $5 extra per head. (our list is 320) It’s just dinner! how do i get them to see that it doesnt matter how its all done? its going to be fun no matter what! why pay so much extra for such a miniscule portion of the evening? HELP ME
