beyond asked:

Which system most naturally favours the freedom, health and welfare of the many? A great big state, an international open market, or a great big state made of smaller states.
Is it a matter of law, or is the will of the less wealthy facilitated by certain types of political structure?

  1. The EU by far.

  2. It’s got to be the U.S. Though not perfect, it’s the land of opportunity. Nobody says that about any other country. There’s no other country to which millions of people flock every year.

Why? Freedom. Freedom to live, worship, and succeed as you see fit. Freedom is the best method for the many because it gives individuals reason to work hard and succeed which is, overall, good for the whole.

If you create a socialist system where everything is distributed evenly, then there is no incentive to work hard or succeed. So nobody does, and the entire country doesn’t thrive. Look what’s happening in France now. They are so hostile to the wealthy – through taxes ranging from 70% to over 100% (I’m not kidding) – that the rich are fleeing the country in droves. So they’re losing all that tax money and all their great business leaders and innovaters.
