I know the Malaysia law and the ‘perlembagaan’ but if there are some hope that love is never hindered by the so called true religion.
I need to know is there people who had gone through the odds just in the name of love?

  1. I more than positive that it could have happened and chances are it probably does. Perhaps, people who get married in secrecy. Like in Lebanon when Muslims married Christians even thought hate two sides often clashed with each other.

  2. Happened many times before.
A non muslim who married a muslim .
As marriage union and religion are separate entities.Such cases are normally not reported as fears from islamic authorities back lash found in malaysia.
However such marriage unions of non muslim with a muslim are common in Indonesia, Thailand,Singapore and the Philippines.

If one cares to read “perlembagaan Malaysia” it advocates freedom of religion. It is highly challengable in civil courts.
But in malaysia a common mahkamah syariah overides and overules civil court.
Thus this is clearly against the nation’s constitution.

***Not sure if ms. Lina Joy filed another case, but High Court threw her case out
But , this only happens in malaysia islamic hadhari
