They stare because we so good looking!!!!!!! I have seen people walk into trees while staring at me! They stand there with their mouth open like they have seen an alien! Very much fun! I love China.

I’m Han, I don’t stare at them, it’s impolite, and I don’t think they can tell the difference between Americans and other Westerners.
BTW: China along with Korean and Japan, are monogenous socities, they don’t see much exotic faces…..you’re “gaijin” to them.

I lived in China for a long time. The staring is not to be offensive. In fact the Chinese are a hell of a lot friendlier than the ppl I live around in upstate New York (the anger/stupidity capital of the world) believe me when you come back to AMerica you will appreciate those Chinese ppl.
