How come in China you have to have a permit to have a baby? Why can’t you have as many kids as you want? I know there are over a billion people there, and it gets crowded. But I’m pretty sure that there is a lot of open land that they could build no cities in! My mom was watching a show about a woman who gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but she has to give her up, and it makes me want to cry. So, why?
The government can’t provide for that many people. It’s not as simple as building more cities. That takes time and money. Not to mention China has tortured the environment enough.

it’s called overpopulation-china has no option but to impose this they have over 3 billion people in that country–that is almost half the population of the planet

Ask the UN, they are the ones who helped implement this policy and US tax dollars went to subsidize the forced abortions the women are made to get.
Yes, many are made to force abortions.
Its DISGUSTING. It makes me want to cry also. There population problem is no reason to kill children and tell families how many children they may have.
I am afraid eventually the UN woudl have all countries have this policy.
Just wait for the carbon tax that will make you pay more tax if you have more than 1 child (its coming to the United States soon)…imagine how many abortions and children will have to be given up by the poor who can not afford the tax when this gets implemented.

I know several people that should be required to have a permit to give birth!! I’m pretty sure its cuz of their overpopulation though.

she does not HAVE to give up the little girl or the birth defect boy, she can keep them.
China has an interesting problem. China is over crowded, but Confusious taught that the male child will carry on the family name, so boys are preferred.
The commies said that they may have only one child – there ARE exceptions, out in the boonies, in the case of multiple births – so if they want a boy, they have to discard of the girl.
Abortion is illegal
Ultrasound is illegal
In far to many cases, the child is born, discovered to be female, and murdered at birth by drowning. Many times, the birth parents agonize over to keep the girl or try again for a boy, so they will just walk away from the infant and hope that a kind soul will find the child before too long.
Yes, it is a very sad situation!
