Stieb asked:

In Japan, my home country, Chinese people commit all sorts of crime from drug use to robbery.

Does the USA have this problem? I wouldn’t be surpirsed if there was.

  1. Yes, along with people from every other ethnicity. We also happen to be the world leader in gun deaths.

  2. you cannot factually say a group of people tend to be criminals. in Japan most crime is committed by Japanese. in the U.S. most crime is committed by Americans. if you say one group is responsible you show prejudice. a similar situation may be people from Tokyo believe they are superior to those from Osaka. the truth tells you this is incorrect.

  4. Not so much, no. I mean, we all know to associate Chinese with Tong gangs and Italians with the Mafia – and Japanese with the Yakuza – but, as best as I can remember, Chinese don’t commit a disproportionate number of crimes here.
