China Reproduction laws?

I have heard that china has certain laws in place for reproducting these days, as they are overpopulated. Is this true? and what are the laws?

  2. They encourage only 1 child. If you have more than one you are HEAVILY taxed. Caps lock for emphasis.

  3. ur only allowed to get pegnant once. but u can have twins or triplets. u can be fined for genetically modifyling ur pregnancy so u get twins.

  4. Chinese encourage every family have one child,and you can foster this child better that you may not have too much pressure on childcare provide.

  6. It is called “One child policy”. It is not really what the name represents.

    People in the cities are “encouraged” to only have 1 child per family. In the rural area, each family is allowed to have 2 child if the first child is a girl. The ethnic minorities like Tibetan, Mongolian, Manchurians, Muslims…etc are allowed to have as many children as they want.

    This was done to reduce massive increase in population.

    Chinese population stands at 1.3Billion people. India doesn’t have this policy, its population is 1.01Billion today. And it is increase far faster than China. It is projected to overtake China’s population in 2018.
