Rooster/Blaster asked:

Or, was this law once in place until recently?

I think, though I am not sure, that now, China has this law that if you have more than one child, only your firstborn child may have insurance coverage. Is this accurate?

What is your opinion of this?

My grandma wants to give her house to my mom, but since she’s blind she needs someone else to take care of preparing her will. My mom wants to draft the will and send it to China to have my grandmother sign it. Will that work? I asked my sister who’s a lawyer but she isn’t sure herself
The house is in China by the way

China adoption: still time to get in before May 1 deadline?

sfswimgal asked:

My husband and I are interested in adopting a baby girl from China. For a variety of reasons, we will not qualify as adoptive parents under the changing China adoption laws that go into effect on May 1st.

My question is: do we have time to start the adoption process (haven’t done anything yet!) and get our dossier/information in before the May 1st deadline? Or are we already too late because this process takes longer than that?

Also, my husband is Chinese-American (grandparents were from China). Will this result in expedited adoption or other benefits? I assume the May 1st regulations still apply to us but would be curious if anyone has any insights.

Where do we start?

300 Bibles confiscated in China and Christians wont leave Airport until they’re returned?

Sparkey asked:

The Christians were not clearly informed of China 's laws regarding religious material … but laws are laws, the time everyone is informed of them or not. – It 's not the fact that these are the Bible, rather the amount of bibles is the problem: 300 of them. It is worth the difficulties that are causing Christians to get their bibles or rear … Christians should simply accept the loss, the house fly and buy the new bibles. – To me, come home and the new purchase would be the right thing to do. What do you think?
