I’m an American visiting Beijing and Hong Kong in a few weeks. Are there any Chinese laws that say I have to carry my passport with me at all times for identification? Or can I just leave it in my hotel? Is it safe to leave it in my hotel room? We are not staying in a western-style hotel. Thanks!

iwant12kids asked:

Not a federal arrest warrant (just state). Would they give me one of those passports that ONLY allow you to go back to America or would they arrest me on site and then fly me back to America?
(Unbeknownst to me I married a criminal Mexican and found proof that she married me only for green card and to steal my money, I found the proof of this but American Law “Statute of Limitations” prevented me from using this evidence. I refused to give her everything when she divorced me and asked for more than half (and they agreed) so I left for China to live in a more FAIR country. Now I somehow lost my passport. Now I am in big trouble. I am trying to become citizen of China)

Ever hear of Three Gorges Damn? The biggest crime any country ever committed against itself? Did you know that close to 20,000 CHINESE DIE IN MINING ACCIDENTS EACH YEAR?
Do you know what conditions most Chinese actually live in? You do know that there military tech is 20 years behind us, right? You do know that they have no workers rights, that the Chinese government sacrifices it’s own people for progress? And how long do you think the boom will last? Will it defy all laws of economics and boom forever?

I have been in Beijing for 3 months and am going back home to NYC. I am going to have some RMB and I want to get the best exchange. I understand that exchange laws are complicated and strict in China.

Should I exchange my RMB for US$ at a Bank of China, at the airport, or at my local Citibank back in NYC? I obviously want to get the best rate.

Thanks for the help.
I got the RMB from an ATM. Therefore there is no receipts about exchanging the money. I never had to exchange money, my company’s finance dept took care of that.

What is this medical condition called?

Sei Pok Kai asked:

Conditions:
One small black hard blister looking thing on the eye of the feet. This thing is about the size of a mole (4-5mm in diameter).

I need to know what type of thing this is, so that I can get the right kind of off-the-counter medications that would work best to combat this and mail it out promptly to my mother-in-law in China.

Unfortunately, seeing the doctor isn’t one of the options, as somehow they don’t carry simple corn/warts/callus removers in pharmacies there.

I had something like this before, I didn’t get any medications for it, and I have no idea what it is called.

Any help is very very very much appreciated!!
Thanks!
