Would it be a jail sentence,or a fine? Should we lock up any ‘potential’ bi-lingual violators? Just how could you force someone to learn a different lanuage? Is it just Spanish that makes you so mad? How about all the Chinese in Chinatown?
Would we stop teaching French, and Spanish to kids in school,or college?

How would an ‘English’ only law be enforced?
Can or has it ever happen that a Chinese marry a Malay in Malaysia and the Chinese didn’t convert to Islam?
I know the Malaysia law and the ‘perlembagaan’ but if there are some hope that love is never hindered by the so called true religion.
I need to know is there people who had gone through the odds just in the name of love?

Why is the Bush admin ignoring the Chinese cartels who are driving up US prices on goods?
Much like Nixon ignored the Japanese breaking anti-trust laws with their electronics companies. This destroyed the US electronic manufacturers.
wingshoo (below) They are ILLEGALLY conspiring on the price of goods that are shipped to the US.
Japan did in the 60s and killed US companies in the same manner. These are INTERNATIONAL anti-trust laws they are breaking.

why is Yahoo! giving the Chinese gestapo the names of people who are communicating with other dissidents?
they keep saying they have to abide by local laws, but this is tantamount to aiding and abetting an enemy of free speech.
when you say freedom of speech cannot be the end-all for China, are you purporting to speak on behalf of those who are currently unable to speak their own minds? well, heck, with wise people like you around i guess we don’t need freedom of speech do we? or maybe you’re just a paid chinese troll. ha

Can someone help me translate this from Chinese to English?
What does “nan har” mean?
What does “ju” mean?
My sister-in-law lives in Beijing and she says I am “nan har” and I eat “ju”. Obviously she’s trying to be funny. Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks!

Toys manufactured in China and other places that do not have comparable laws regulated products?
A news program recently did a show about recalled toys. It showed American employees 20 something to fifty something years old and stated they earn $13 – $20/hr. This program then showed foreign workers, children and teenagers, making toys and it was stated they earn less than $1.00/hr.
1) When CAFTA was signed, how could the president not foresee problems with doing business with countries that have no labor laws or product laws comparable with our own?
2) Is anyone concerned (and taking action) about the children making these toys being exposed to the high levels of lead in the toys now being recalled?
3) Does anyone know how to check toys, made in China or elsewhere, for safety? I purchased Christmas gifts last winter for this Christmas and now I am afraid to use them as gifts.

Online store in China Question?
Hi, i’m a web designer whom creates online stores for clients. I’m moving to China Shanghai in about 5 months and i’m wondering if its possible to buy products in china (for dirt cheap), and sell them via my online store to countries such as Australia, America and Europe ? All packaging and handling will be dealt with in china before shipping to its final destination
Is this possible. Are their any laws which prevent this that I should know about?
Thanks for your answers.
