Fanservice asked:

I heard they made laws to cut down vehicles on the road but I’m not sure about the details. Any other stuff?
Ok, I’m asking what they are doing to help, not how they are polluting.
Yes, I am referring to the Olympics

  5. well, they are getting set up to start running thing off of coal after the petroleum runs out… although I guess that that would be the opposite of reducing pollution.

  7. I think China did spend a lot of money and manpower to reduce the pollution for the present Olympic 2008 by the followings.
    1) Shut down two of the three steel manufacturing foundries.
    2) Evict many local residents inside city of Beijing or suburban areas to keep the city looks better and newer. They also put a new cover for those older commercial buildings as well as those older residential building are torn down.
    3) They eliminated approximate one million car flow capacity for the Olympic games.
    4) They planted many trees recently for cancelling the carbon dioxide through photosynthesis of the newly planted trees.
    5) They applied the scientific methods to block the rain to ensure that no rain fall during the Olympic period. It is boasted they are successfully in this project that is proved heavy rainfall in areas close to Beijing during the grand opening ceremony.
People are more concerned about the deadly pollution of Hong Kong than in Beijing. Hong Kong is doing nothing for the polluted environment and foul area. The following website shows about Hong Kong’s pollution.

  8. make sure that the rest of the world doesn’t know it! they have always downplayed the seriousness of its pollution problems! and now their trying to show that they are doing everything to minimize the effect yet they can’t really fix the real source of these pollutuions! cause stopping the source would mean killing their big industries!!
